Care and treatment options

Addiction rehabilitation programmes in Kenya.

At St. Martin’s, recovery support brings together a structured environment, counselling, family involvement, personalised plans and optional faith-based guidance.

01 · Residential care

Inpatient rehabilitation

Residential treatment is intended to provide a setting where a client can concentrate on recovery with a supportive daily schedule and ongoing professional contact.

  • Structured activities and a supportive routine
  • Counselling and recovery education
  • Care planning tailored to individual circumstances
  • Time for rest, reflection and appropriate family contact

02 · Counselling

Individual and group therapy

Private counselling offers space to discuss substance use, triggers and coping strategies. Group sessions allow guided reflection with peers and mutual support.

  • Individual sessions addressing personal goals
  • Group conversations and accountability
  • Relapse prevention and coping strategies
  • Opportunities to build healthier relationships

03 · Family involvement

Family support and education

Addiction affects the people around a client. Family support can help loved ones understand dependence, rebuild communication and plan for life after treatment.

  • Education about addiction and recovery
  • Healthy boundaries and communication
  • Understanding possible relapse warning signs
  • Support for rebuilding trust

04 · Individual approach

Personalised treatment plans

Clients do not have identical histories or needs. The centre’s materials describe planning based on medical, psychological, social and spiritual considerations.

  • Discussion of substance-use history and goals
  • Care needs and safety assessment
  • Appropriate professional counselling
  • Recovery planning and review
Important clinical note: Alcohol or drug withdrawal can be medically dangerous. Contact a licensed medical professional about detoxification and emergency support. Ask the centre to confirm its current clinical staffing, detox arrangements and suitability for your needs before admission.

Faith and recovery

Spiritual support alongside treatment.

The centre’s approach is rooted in Catholic values. For those who want faith to play a part, prayer and spiritual guidance can complement counselling and practical recovery work.

Before admission

Questions worth asking us

What is the expected length of the programme?

Programme length depends on individual assessment and the plan agreed with the centre. Contact admissions for a current outline and the expected commitment.

Is medically supervised withdrawal support available?

The original site describes detox support, but staffing and clinical capacity can change. Ask the centre about licensed medical oversight, referral arrangements and care for high-risk withdrawal.

Does the centre provide pickup or transport?

The centre’s original website says countrywide pickup may be arranged. Confirm whether this is currently offered, which locations are covered and any transport costs.

What happens after residential rehabilitation?

Ask how discharge planning, family communication and any follow-up or referral support are handled. A specific aftercare programme should be confirmed before admission.

A private first conversation

Recovery can begin with one call.

Ask about programmes, assessment, availability, costs or bringing a family member to the centre.
